3 things you should know...
The first thing...
I'm a breast cancer survivor who manages cancer-related side effects daily. At my core, I'm honest, compassionate and motivated to help others rise.
When you have cancer, the goal is to #gettoremission. Once you're in remission, the goal is to #stayinremission but FEAR can paralyze and when that happens, the goal is to #RiseinRemission
The second thing...
I learned how to pay attention to what my body was telling me, tuned into my emotions instead of powering through. I owned my journey to holistic wellness and crafted it to fit my way. It paid off to be patient with myself because chemo brain wouldn't have it any other way! :)
I kept at it and leaned into complementary therapies to help me feel better, and that was half of the answer. The rest was the work I needed to do on myself to make sure that I approached cancer prevention differently this time. I'm in remission, a survivor, a second chancer and while it wasn't my fault that I got cancer, I definitely had some habits and hobbies that nurtured it. Clara, the cancer cell, got really comfortable and created a cell family inside of me. I didn't want that to happen again.
The third thing...
I turned to aromatherapy to help facilitate and support my emotional journey. I had to do something because the side effects were sidelining me and sedentary disease was becoming my best friend - NOOO!!!
Today I'm a NAHA Certified Aromatherapist with specialized training in Aromatherapy in Cancer Care with the American College of Healthcare Sciences. I specifically support those who are transitioning out of cancer treatment and into remission with bespoke blends to help support their new normal.
I'm also a Certified Holistic Cancer Coach with the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education. My coaching service will guide you through a self-discovery journey to assess where you're at, alleviate what weighs you down, adopt what feels great and anchor what you know to be true so that you can Rise to Remission.
